Apparently, there will be another collector's edition of Metal Slug title that will be available in South Korea.



Activision Korea will ship these Korean edition of Metal Slug Complete for PSP, which will come packing with a miniature cellphone battery charger (that probably holds enough juice to jolt your cellphone back to life and add a few minutes worth of talk time) as well as a tin case that will act as a case for storing the Metal Slug Complete UMD (or any other UMD, for that matter).

And, just like the limited edition of Korean Metal Slug 6 for PS2 which came with two mugs that was sold in Korea, this will also be a pre-order item. The pre-order date start at February 23rd and ends at March 11th in Korea. If you don't grab one by then, you are out of luck.

Price tag is currently set at KRW₩39,800, which translates into USD$43 at the current currency exchange figures.

Unless the worker bees (you can, literally, count them with your fingers plus some toes thrown in. I believe that there are less than 15 people working there) at SNK Playmore USA decides to change their mind, Metal Slug Anthology for Playstation 2 is scheduled to be released on March 13th.

No word on whether or not if this release will feature any extras, goodies or gameplay differences from other releases (barring the control schemes, because your PS2 gamepad isn't going to look or act like a Wiimote or those horribly mangled buttons on PSP on any given day).

Oh, and, it appears that our fellow European and Asian Metal Slug fans won't be getting this for themselves. SNK Playmore and Ignition Entertainment are awfully quiet over this one, with only SNK Playmore USA quietly pushing the project along. Quite ironic since both SCEJ and SCEE allowed Metal Slug titles to be published individually for their PS2 platforms while SCEA flatly refused to comply.

It's now official. SNK Playmore USA has quietly restored the section for Metal Slug Anthology for PS2 on their boards months after deleting it.



They also went ahead and created a small page for it, too.

No word on whether or not if the title for the PS2 will be released for our European or Asian brethrens.

First off, the Japanese section of the 10th-year anniversary site has been updated with the Metal Slug Complete section which has a detailed outline about the game available for Playstation Portable.

Secondly, the consumer section of the Neo-Geo World has been updated with Metal Slug Complete for PSP.
