DragonFly will only develop, and not publish, Metal Slug Zero

The word is that DragonFly is looking for a publisher for Metal Slug Zero in South Korea. Rather than venturing out and doing everything by itself, DragonFly has decided that it will simply concentrate on the development, while handing over the publishing task to another company.

Metal Slug 5X simply refuses to go six feet under

After more than a year of utter lack of update, Crazy Slug has dropped by our forums and left a note that Metal Slug 5X is still being worked on. Not too shabby after seeing how most Metal Slug fan games turn out to be vaporwares.

While he was not able to provide a video or a demo, he did posted a whole bunch of screenshots along with his post.

Long time no see, my friends!
I've been away for a long time now, but still remain faithful in producing MS5X. The completely new engine is practically identical to the real thing! I'm still working on the first boss, which will be epic (way moreso than the pathetic MSA bosses before), therefore I cannot release the actual game yet. Also, at its current condition, very few of you will be able to run out without clocking out your comps, but the solution is at hand. The Slug Gunner will not be available, even though it's fully functional. As you can see, it also features the combo system from MS6+, and a fully functional scoring system to boot. For newbs, there is a super awesome tutorial screen that is more comprehensive than what the real games provide. Again, I apologise for the wait, but I am only one person, and am slowly acquiring a life.

Now, if the game functions as exactly as it appears in those screenshots, then it will be an accomplishment of galactic proportions, considering how he was able to create all this with COTS software and, most importantly, by himself.

Metal Slug 2 heading to Virtual Console

In fact, it's just around the corner with October being the month of release. D4Enterprise Inc., which has managed the release of the previous Neo-Geo ports to Virtual Console, will again be responsible for Metal Slug 2's release.

The title will cost 900 Wii Points and, as mentioned above, become available in October.
