Old news
Metal Slug Collection? Hmm...

WBA Interactive, a company previously known as Activision Korea, which distributes games from WB Games, Activision and SNK Playmore to the Korean market, has made an announcement on their lineup for 2009.

According to the article, WBA Interactive is planning to release Metal Slug Collection for PC in February. No other information was given.

This is quite interesting considering the fact that SNK Playmore has not mentioned anything in the way of that title.

Metal Slug 7 accessories for NDSL

With Metal Slug 7 being released just a while ago in South Korea, Joytron, a company that specializes in manufacturing and selling video game accessories, has decided to profit from it.

The name of their product is loosely translated to "Metal Slug Special Package", available now for 7,800 Won, or about USD$5.59 at current exchange figures, which isn't a bad deal. But, as usual, the catch is that this thing isn't available outside of Korea, meaning that most of you who are reading this aren't going to get your hands on one of these.

Each "package" consists of a single case featuring one of four randomly selected artworks (Marco, Fio, Ralf or Metal Slug 7 promotional images) for the Nintendo DS Lite unit, a ball pen stylus, (in pink or blue) a cartridge case capable of holding six DS carts (in grey or white) and screen protectors.

Metal Slug Zero website renovated

After what it appeared to be an utter lack of update for months after announcement, the official Metal Slug Zero website has been renovated, using much darker tones than the previous layout.

Now, before we get into further details about the new website, let's talk about the old websites. Yes, "websites". That's a plural. If you have been following the news closely, there were two Metal Slug Zero websites before, one built for Korean market (www.metalslug.co.kr) and the other for international. (www.metalslugzero.com) It is the former that was renovated. The latter, however, does not appear to be functioning anymore, and displays a 403 Forbidden error page when accessed. The renovated site, however, has all three languages (Korean, English and Chinese) that the international site offered. The old version of www.metalslug.co.kr has been saved to MSDB's archives, and can be viewed from here.

Metal Slug and Comiket 75

Listen up; the Comic Market 75 Winter has already started, and I will be pointing out a few Metal Slug-related doujin works that might be featured one way or another.

They are mostly adult-oriented, so I suggest that children shouldn't even bother to click the links. If you do, don't bother whining about how you got into trouble with your parents, because I could not possibly care any less.

First off, Delta3. 12/28 7.

Visit website here.

Secondly, Genesys. 12/29 28.

Visit website here.

And, the final one I could find on CM75 catalogue, HD. 12/30 I39.

The blog hasn't been updated for a year, but you can still visit it here.

Metal Slug Mobile 4 -- Metal Slug: Survivors for the West

Remember Metal Slug: Survivors, the game made for mobile phones that was released around Japan in 2006 and slowly trickled out to other countries? I-Play has, finally, begun distributing the game under the title of Metal Slug Mobile 4, following Metal Slug Mobile 3. (Also known as Allen's Battle Chronicles.)
