SNK Playmore has also released a press release regarding the launch of Metal Slug 6 for the Playstation 2 console system, as well as listing Metal Slug 6 in their product inquiries page.
BonusJz has informed us in our forums of a fan game that he is creating for Xbox and PC, and perhaps for PSP, PS2 and Dreamcast as well, using OpenBor engine.
The game will feature 4 players being able to play simultaneously, eight new levels with sub-levels, lots of enemies (no aliens), story mode, and different difficulty modes with alternate levels.
Although an official announcement hasn't been made, a plan is underway for the release of Metal Slug Anthology for Playstation 2.
Exact release date is not known, but it will arrive due this fall, along with Metal Slug Anthology for both the PSP and Nintendo Wii.
So far, only SNK Playmore USA seems to be aiming to release Metal Slug Anthology for PS2 within Northern Americas. Neither the Ignition Entertainment nor Atari UK have made any announcements on releasing the PS2 version of Metal Slug Anthology in Europe.
