Metal Slug - Team Mission

Ever thought about playing a four-player co-op Metal Slug game using the most ridiculous control scheme possible and on the tiniest screen imaginable? No, wait, SNK Playmore just did that for you, and the result is named Metal Slug - Team Mission.

The game features;

  • Two- to four-player co-operative mode over the Internet
  • Score ranking system for top players
  • Customization of character names and colors
  • Extra items that can be purchased from the web site and used for a month
  • Additional stages released over time that can be downloaded

Customization and acquisition of additional items will cost players money.

The game is out now in Japan.

Metal Slug Collection for PC to be released

After about a year of delay, WBA Interactive has announced that it will be releasing Metal Slug Collection for PC by the end of this month.

It will contain Metal Slug 1, 2, X, 3, 4, 5 and 6 on a single disc.

The company has mentioned the fact that two players can play co-operatively, and also touted that players will be able to save their progress at any point in the game as they desire.

Ah, well. That was a dead-giveaway. It looks like this is going to be another half-assed port discreetly packaged with emulators and ROMs.
